Amyra Mah

Therapist

Amyra Mah has a Bachelor of Arts Degree (B.A.) from Monash University, Australia.  She has 15 years of experience in the communications field, having worked in media, marketing, training and personal growth in Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore and Taiwan.  Since launching the holistic fitness system ‘Body Renew’ in 2005, she has been working exclusively with clients dealing with a range of issues including depression, addictions, relationship problems, body image issues, eating disorders and gender/sexuality issues.

Her personal struggle with depression and body image issues has led her to personal triumph and a dedication to inspire others to actualize their highest potential.  She is passionate about using the life knowledge she has amassed in her own healing to help clients find their power, spiritual meaning and a profound sense of comfort within themselves.

At Channah, Amyra runs the Body Renew programme, a holistic fitness and personal empowerment system, which includes group work, one-to-one sessions and art therapy.  Her focus is on providing spiritual tools to empower clients to develop a strong sense of self in their process of recovery from addiction.

‘Body Renew’ utilizes movement, breath work and the power of imagination to facilitate a range of psycho-spiritual processes.  It emphasizes the practice of Presence, Power and Passion to maintain a consciousness that supports self-renewal, moving clients away from destructive patterns to healthier, more fulfilling ways of living.  It is based on the premise that self-fulfillment comes when we develop a strong presence and learn to transform our perceived negative experiences into a source of empowerment.

Amyra also facilitates Media Training and Key Messaging workshops for clients whose professional roles require them to deal with the media, when they consider media exposure as a contributing factor to the stresses that drive them to addiction.

Amyra is the author of ‘Body Renew The Manual’ and 'Book of Revelations: Unveiling The Secrets Of Personal Alchemy’.  She is working on the first Body Renew DVD.
